Double tops for The Port

A busy weekend lies ahead at St George’s Park as it’s hosts the Isle of Wight County Darts tournament against Pembrokeshire. The top bar in the clubhouse will be transformed into a mini “Lakeside” as the Islands top darts players put on a show and build that competitive darts atmosphere.

The Port will be putting on a performance looking to secure a double victory as they face Bournemouth Poppies in the Wessex League Premier Division on Saturday 11th February.

The clubhouse sports bar also opens from 11:30am on Saturday for all the build up on the BIG SCREEN and live courage of Arsenal vs Hull in the Barclays Premier League. A lunch menu and light snacks will be available to order from the bar. This will be followed by a 5:30pm kick off live on the BIG SCREEN as Liverpool take on Tottenham.

Newport’s 1st team will kick off at 3pm out on pitch as they face 18th place Bournemouth Poppies who have picked up only 4 points from their last 8 games in the Premier Division.

As The Port return to St George’s Park following a long spell without a home fixture Andy Sampson will be determined to secure a double successive victory and a chance to push into the top ten in the league if others results go in favour for Newport.

Absent from squad will be suspended Aiden Sainsbury and Spike Pierce. A return for Scott Sampson could be likely.

Come and experience the fun, family and friendly atmosphere at Newport Football Club with a weekend full of live sport.
