Match day returns to St George’s Park for Newport’s first team as they take on Hamworthy Utd on Saturday 25th February in the Sydenhams Wessex League Premier Division for a 3pm kick off.
Hamworthy Utd who sit 16th in the league come to St George’s Park having only picked up 3 points from their last 4 games. Newport who sit 11th in the Premier Division have picked up 5 points from their last 4 games.
With The Hammers new state of the art 3G pitch at The County Ground they will have to adapt to the grass surface here at Newport which could give The Port a slight advantage but we shouldn’t under estimate Hamworthy as they thrashed Cowes Sports FC 7:1 only a couple of weeks ago. Newport will not want to be hit like that from The Hammers.
The Port will be without suspended Spike Pierce however Andy Sampson should have the rest of his squad available to choose from.
The clubhouse sports bar will be open from 12pm showing live football on the BIG SCREEN in HD. Live from the EFL courtesy of Sky Sports will see Leeds Utd up against Sheffield Wednesday in the Championship with a 12:30pm kick off.
Gillette Soccer Saturday on Sky Sports will commence from 3pm as all the action from leagues throughout the country will be covered.
Newport’s first team will also be kicking off from 3pm out in the main ground.
Why not come into the clubhouse sports bar after The Ports game for a drink and the 5:30pm evening kick off on the BIG SCREEN as Watford take on West Ham in the Barclays Premier League.
Dont miss out, come and be part of Newport IW FC’s match day experience at St George’s Park from 12pm.
