St Georges Park will host a charity match between the IOW Police and the IOW NHS on Sunday 30th April for a 4pm kick off.
This is the first ever game to be played for the Joe Ellis Trust trophy and is an event organised jointly by the two emergency services to raise as much money for a fantastic cause.
Both teams have been training tirelessly over the past seven weeks in preparation for this fixture so although this will be a friendly game there’s no doubt it will have its competitiveness.
The day will feature other activities within the ground for all families to enjoy with a chocolate tombola for the children and raffles to win the match ball and 2 x adult IW Festival weekend camping tickets. Make sure you’re at the ground before kick-off to enjoy a special surprise as the players are cheered out onto the pitch.
Newport IW FC’s clubhouse sports bar will be open from 2pm which is showing all live sports and football on the BIG SCREEN in HD as well a variety of beers, wines and spirits on sale that can be taken into the ground whilst you’re watching the game out on the main pitch.
The clubs snack shack will be open throughout the afternoon for hot food and drinks.
At 3:15pm the gates into the ground will be open to spectators with a kind donation of £3 for adults and £1 for children. All monies raised on the day will be for the Joe Ellis Trust.
The expected rain will not stop play so please come along to support both emergency services and enjoy a family and fun packed afternoon at Newport IW FC, St Georges Park.
