Newport 6-0 Michelmersh and Timsbury

Newport entertained Hampshire League Division 1 side Michelmersh and Timsbury on a warm humid afternoon at St. George’s Park.
Newport named 19 players and Michelmersh & Timsbury 17.
In the early stages Newport had all the possession and set up camp around the Michelmersh goal.
Early efforts from Josh Younie and Mark Taylor went close and Michelmersh and Timsbury caused problems with a long ball into the Newport box.
It took Newport 24 minutes to break down the Michelmersh and Timsbury defence, Josh Younie curling a free kick around the defensive wall.
10 minutes later the advantage was doubled when Mark Taylor hit a cracking shot into the net from 20 yards.
The rest of the half continued in the same vein, Michelmersh and Timsbury struggling to get an attack in and Newport having a lot of possession but missing the target.

Both sides made a number of substitutions at half time, Newport making 8 changes.
One of those changes made a difference inside 3 minutes, Charlie Urry scoring with a shot from outside the box. On 60 minutes Charlie Urry added another when he pounced on a defensive error to make it 4-0.

Charlie Urry completed his 30 minute hat trick on 75 minutes when he took a free kick which rebounded from the wall and promptly lashed it through the defensive melee to increase the Newport lead.
On 80 minutes Emerson Tattersall completed the scoring to round off a good afternoons work for the Port.
