Defending Champions Newport exited the Isle of Wight Senior Cup at the first hurdle losing 1-0 away to West Wight. Newport were to rue missing many good chances during the match and veteran West Wight keeper Joe McCormack produced a number of good saves to keep a clean sheet. Alex Harmer was to score the winner for West Wight late in the second half.
