The Port take on Cowes at Westwood tonight in a pre-season friendly, kick off is at 7.30pm.
Cowes drew 2-2 on Saturday against Little Common (from the Bexhill area) who play in the Southern Combination Football League, whilst Newport went down to Baffins Milton Rovers by a single goal.
Both teams are looking to prepare their squads for the season ahead so will be keen to use a variety of players and avoid injuries.
The reserves match at St. George’s has been called off.
