The Waterside club are still in the FA Cup after two wins against Wessex Premier sides AFC Portchester and Horndean and next Saturday have a plum home draw against Southern League side Kidlington.

Newport go into Saturdays League game refreshed after a 6-1 win at home to East Cowes Vics on Monday and should be at full strength.

Newport Reserves have no match today as Osburn Coburg’s pitch is not yet available.

On Tuesday night Newport play the previously postponed match at home to Bournemouth Poppies at Beatrice Avenue. Kick off is 7.30pm and the tie will be decided on the night.
