Newport make the longest journey of the league season today, as they travel to Pewsey Vale in Wiltshire. Pewsey Vale were moved by the FA, to the Wessex League from the Hellenic League, at the start of this season.
The mainland side have not had the best of starts to the season, as they sit bottom of the table with one point from five matches. Newport will look to build on their midweek cup victory, when they overcame Premier side Bournemouth Poppies in a penalty shoot out. Incredibly, the Pewsey Vale ground is only ten miles up the road from Devizes Town, who Newport play in the FA Vase next Saturday, however Devizes play in the Toolstation Western League !
Newport Reserves continue their league season when they play against AFC Wootton, the match at Wootton Rec kicks off at 2.00pm.
