Hopefully both our adult teams will see footballing action this week as the weather has become drier although some rain is expected later today.
The first team travel to the BBX Stadium at New Milton for a Sydenhams League match against a home side that has conceded heavily in their last two matches despite having been on a good run prior to that.
The Linnets seem to get on the scoresheet in most games though and have beaten both East Cowes Vics and Totton & Eling at home during October. A close game can be expected.
Newport Reserves travel to Hamble to take on Mayflower FC in the Hampshire Vase, a cup match that has been rescheduled from last Saturday. That game has an earlier kick off so we may be able to give you updates during our twitter feed this afternoon.
Last night there was an upset as high flying Andover New Street lost away to Laverstoke & Ford. Today sees a couple of matches between teams above or around us as Alton take on US Portsmouth, Andover Town take on Downton and Hythe & Dibden are at home to Romsey Town. It is still pretty tight at the top.
