Tonight sees the Boxing Day derby re-match between East Cowes Vics and Newport at Beatrice Avenue.
Newport go into the match still stinging from a late late Romsey revival which resulted in a draw on Saturday. East Cowes Vics had Saturday off and most players were in the crowd for the Newport match on Saturday afternoon. It doesn’t look as though there will be any issues with the pitch although if last nights fog is anything to go by, there could be other problems in the air.
Andy Sampson has no squad issues for the midweek game, Spike Pearce’s suspension will not kick in until Saturday. East Cowes Vics will be without Elias Ahmed who is currently suspended. Island based referee Sean Phillips is the man in the middle.
Those travelling by car will need to arrive early as it is expected the car park will be full before 7.30pm. There is ample parking on nearby streets so if you are late, don’t drive past a space. Kick off is at 7.45pm.
